My Thoughts
This is not a book review site - it started that way, I conceptualise this blog that way but I found that I can't separate my feelings from my writings. I can't be objective about a book.
Reading has been my main hobby cultivated for almost 4 decades. I read for pleasure and experience. This blog is where I pour my thoughts and feelings in that experience.

Kiss the Frog by Alice Gaines
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This book was categorised under New Adult. I am not really sure what exactly New Adult means but I reckon, it's not this book. It has a lot of steamy scenes that it is borderline to erotic.
Okay, onto the book. This a feel good read. It's not too long. Dev is just an admirable character. Well, all of the Royal family are. It's unreal not that I am familiar with the lives of the royalty. I suppose, they are just like normal people.
The character of the parents of Felice made me like her even more. She is very understanding and forgiving. And I suppose, resigned that she will not be the number one priority. But it is fine as she found a new family in Dev's.
I like Fredriech. I'd like to read his story with Marta soon.

Okay, so the start is a bit vague. I have not been to Georgia so I wouldn't know about the weather. And I am not clear why the heroine was there. Weird.
It's a typical and dare I say common plot, the heroine is a city girl and the hero is living a hermet-like life but then he is really not. He is getting away from something nasty from his previous life, which is bigger than the life of the heroine. Get it?
A good short read. I'd like to have read about the hero reconciling with his family. A perfect HEA of course.
I'd give it 3 stars.

By Clarice Winter. The first book in the Spring Valley River series.
This is a very simple story. I would have loved to read some emotions in the breakup of Harper and Brad. I admit, I am a sucker for not only romantic stories but stories that tug to your heart. Not because you have been through what the main characters have been but because, the author has written it so good that you feel it.
For me, what makes this book different from the others with similar plot is that, Brad's parents get to have more dialogue in the book than Brad. I would really like to read more of Brad and what's up with him - what his struggle is, why would he say that he is broken and he is trying to heal.
There are some funny parts though. The discussion between Harper and Audrey are good. I laughed a couple of times.
All in all, not so bad for a very short story. I'd give it 3 stars.
I'd be tempted to buy the other books in the series but I have so many books to go through.

This book didn't start happy. I detest book that have cheating on it that hurt the other person. It's just not on.
But then, the love story seems to have started before the lady got married and got cheated on. She met a guy, had a one night-stand and got pregnant. They only know each other as Alexis and Blake.
Fast forward, Alexis moved to NY and worked in a design company. Her first client was Blake. Convenient, isn't it. I was actually expecting that her boss was Blake. It seems to be the most common plot.
Anyway, the story is a bit predictable and a little bit on the fairy tale / impossible genre but entertaining nonetheless.
I'd give it 3 stars.

I finished the series this week. I discover the first book around April or May this year accidentally. I was reading a book in an online site and the Manwhore title came up. I didn't really click on it straight away as the title didn't endear to me. But after reading the book I wondered why didn't I click on it sooner.
The whole series is a simple story. Billionaire boy met the not so quite poor girl. But the books are so well written that the details just get into you.
It is written in the POV of Rachel and I would have loved to read a book written in the POV of Malcolm.
I can't quite explain how I feel about the book but all I can say is, it's all worth the wait and money. Didn't I say that I bought the other two books on the day that they were released in the US
